Welcome to the website of The Academy of Music at Christ Our Savior! Please take advantage of everything it has to offer.

I am especially excited by the work of The Academy because it is serving both our community and the Church by allowing musicians of all ages to explore and enjoy God's gift of music. The Academy serves parents by assisting them as they teach their children. It serves instrumentalists and vocalists as they improve their craft. It serves preschoolers by teaching them to appreciate music. It serves our schools by helping them improve the skills of their music students. It serves our community by providing concerts and sing-a-longs in public venues and in private settings like nursing homes. It serves instructors by supplying a setting where they can teach others what they know so well and be compensated for their efforts. It serves Christian congregations by preparing interested individuals to play for worship. And it serves the whole Church by raising up another generation of musicians to glorify God and lead the praise of people who celebrate that we have all been redeemed by Christ Jesus.

I am not much of a musician myself. Everyone else in my family plays musical instruments. I can only play the radio. But I appreciate music deeply. And as a parent whose children play a variety of instruments, I remember driving them to lessons all around the St. Louis area. What a blessing it would have been to have The Academy when my kids were young, so they all could have taken lessons in the same location. And what a blessing that the Academy has instructors who not only are outstanding musicians and teachers, but who also are committed to Christian living and faith. That provides a wonderful environment for growing musicians!
